More snow is due for Scotland on Friday, while rain is expected across the UK, with northern and western areas looking particularly wet with heavy showers and a brisk northerly wind. Across eastern Ireland, it looks set to be overcast with cloudy skies and also light showers, wintry during the afternoon with a brisk westerly wind.
Western Ireland, will be mostly cloudy and grey with wintry, heavy shower with a gale force north-westerly wind and max temperatures of 4-7C (39-45F). And as temperatures stay low, Britain’s biggest pipeline from its North Sea oil and gas fields is likely to be shut for several weeks for repairs, its operator said on Tuesday, disrupting gas flows and sending international crude prices to their highest since mid-2015.
